June 14th, 2017 Medicine Hat, AB to Moose Jaw, AB

June 14th, 2017 Medicine Hat, AB to Moose Jaw, AB
Left our campsite at gas City in Medicine Hat in the rain and stopped at Best Buy for a 64 GB SD card and groceries at Safeway.  By late morning we were back on the Transcanada Highway Rt 1 heading east. On the way out of Medicine Hat we stopped at the giant Saamis teepee built for 1988 Calgary Winter Olympics. After that it was an uneventful day ending in Moose Jaw, AB where we camped in a very nice in town park in the center of the city named City Park Campground Wakamow Valley. We had a nice dinner at the Cornerstone Inn on Main Street.

Moose Jaw was an alcohol stash hideout during the U.S. Prohibition Era.  They celebrate their place in that history and their connection with Al Capone.  There is even an tour of the tunnel hideouts which we did not take.
The old Moose Jaw railroad station is now converted into space for local businesses.
