May 14th, Sunday, 2017 Eccentric Home & Fort Larned KS

May 14th, Sunday,  2017 Eccentric Home & Fort Larned KS
Left Wilson State Park around 10am and drove north about 5 miles to see an eccentric home on the advice of Judy and Bert, a couple camping next to us who were from Great Bend KS. Judy and Bert camp about 100 nights a year in their 5th wheel.  Anyway they suggested having a look at this crazy place.  It reminded us of another eccentric home in the mountains of Colorado.
Eccentric house: "Garden of Eden"

Neat summary of the Plain's Indian tribes
We traveled between Kansas City and Fort Larned a lot faster.
 Smaller than my RV
 Larger than my Outback.
I have a fascination with pictures of desks and workbenches. The following are all from within Fort Larned.

 Soldiers barracks at Fort Larned
Covered walkway in front of the buildings at Fort Larned.
The sign says "Don't touch the buffalo" at the Fort Larned visitor center.

A 19th century precursor to the laptop.

Lakeside at Meade State Park at the end of the day Sunday. Although the lake looks calm, the wind during the night was incredible.
