May 22nd, Monday, Sequoia National Park

May 22nd, Monday, Sequoia National Park
Left Bakersfield mid Monday morning and drove to Sequoia National Park.Went in the southern entrance aiming for the Giant tree Museum.  We turned around at the entrance when the ranger told us that the road was very tight hairpin turns and not recommended for RV's over 22 feet.  We then traveled to the northern entrance which cost us about 2 hours. By this time we just aimed for our campsite at Hume Lake leaving sight seeing for the next day.

On our way up to Sequoia we saw oil fields! Very surprised at this.  We also saw many orange groves.

Hume Lake was the least expensive campground so far this trip at $12.50 per night with our National Parks pass.  And it was the most quiet and peaceful site also!
