May 21st, Sunday, Bakersfield Ca
Departed Meade Lake and headed for Bakersfield Ca. Pretty uneventful drive.  Geography changed continually.

One interesting site at the Nevada/California border on I-15 we saw this large solar installation.  Multi mirrors focus sunlight on one solar boiler.  Very impressive.

We were surprised to see windmills along the way in California similar to western Kansas

When we got to Bakersfield the temperature was 100!

We camped at a very nice rv park called Orange Grove RV Park.  Best showers I have seen so far! And there were oranges left over in the trees.  Seems like the crop was finished way before May.
