Tuesday night we camped just outside Yosemite Park in Yosemite National Forest at a private campground called Yosemite Ridge Resort. It was not a resort! All the public campgrounds were booked so we settled for Yosemite Ridge. Wednesday morning we headed for San Francisco on Route 120. We came out of the mountains into rolling hills of grass and leafy green trees.
San Francisco. We headed into San Francisco across the Bay Bridge and then took the 101 towards the Golden Gate Bridge. The 101 turned out to be a local street down the center of San Francisco so we got a real feel for the city.

Our son Matt texted me to visit the Yoda statue in the Presidio . When we got there a very nice parking lot attendant suggested where to park and told us to not miss going into the lobby of Lucas Films.
