June 12th, 2017 Eastern Glacier National Park

June 12th, 2017 Eastern Glacier National Park
After touring the western side of Glacier National Park, we set out for the eastern half of the park by driving along route 2 which loops south, then east then north.
While on the western side of the park we camped at Fish Creek campground.  This is the view of the mountains from Fish Creek.

Along the road traveling to the eastern side of Glacier National Park we came to this monument to Theodore Roosevelt at the Continental divide.
This is a neat panoramic view of the mountain top after it slid northward over a few million years.
On the eastern side of Glacier before going back into the park we stopped for coffee at the town of East Glacier.

Finally in the eastern side of Glacier, some very impressive mountains.
We dry camped at Two Medicine Lake.  A family of goats decided they also liked our campsite!
A neat shot of someone fishing on Two Medicine.
The mountaintops in East Glacier were closer and thus more impressive,
Ranger swearing in two junior rangers.
The gift shop at Two Medicine.

We took a hike along the lake.  Here is a shot of Elaine saying "Don't take my picture!"
How is this for a qui meadow with a mountain backdrop.
Me walking to get a closer picture of the guy fishing.
Yes there was still snow on the ground!
More of the family of goats visiting.
Camping at Two Medicine.
