June 5th Craigdarroch Castle Victoria BC

June 5th Craigdarroch Castle Victoria BC
We camped at Country Maples RV Resort about an hour north of Victoria. I pick these parks from apps on my phone about a day in advance.  We have been pretty lucky till this one.  A resort it is not.  Not well managed and we did not get to sleep till about 1am when the party next door broke up.  Oh well one bad apple in 30 is not bad.  We headed back to Victoria and Craigdarroch Castle. Craigdarroch is a mansion built by a coal magnate in the 1890's. Great furniture and architecture.
On our way back to Victoria down I-17 we saw this hockey stick.
Outside view of Craigdarroch.

Side buffet in the dining room.
Dumb waiter.
Old time sewing machine. Funny how this technology has not changed in 150 years.
Potty with adjacent bath.
View of Victoria out the top windows of the mansion.
View out the top windows of the mansion.
A curved door!

View of Victoria out the top windows of the mansion.
Great stained glass.
Interesting reading table. The first elbow lamp.
A round radiator!
